Occasionally I will breed a qualified bitch for puppies that will carry the breed on. I do not breed randomly or often; as a result, Sunup Aussies are sought after because individuals, whether looking for Pet or Show prospects, know that the breeding was not undertaken lightly and will produce sound dogs with steady temperaments.

An incredible amount of work goes into raising a litter. My litters are raised in the house, handled from birth, wormed on an appropriate schedule, tested for eye problems at Cornell University and they play, play, play. They are exposed to sights and sounds as they grow and often neighborhood children come to play with them. If the day is nice, they spend time outside in the yard gamboling about and just being puppies. I watch them a lot – their antics are something to behold and it is amazing to see different personalities develop.

I will expect that you will have done your homework and are ready for an Aussie. They are not a breed for everyone, but for those who own them, there is nothing else that will do. They are loyal, smart, focused and just generally lots of fun to have around.
